Junior Veterinary Nurse - Concord Veterinary Hospital (Inner West Sydney)

Part-time or Full-time | No weekends | No after-hours (we close at 5 pm)

We're growing - and thanks to one of our superstar nurses heading off on maternity leave - there's room for a Junior Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, patient-first team. If you're newly qualified, about to graduate, or in your final year and keen to learn, we'd love to meet you.

About the role Full-time is great, but we're flexible - part-time works too. You'll rotate through:

Part-time positions require a minimum commitment of 1-2 days per week.

  • Inpatient care, TPRs, patient monitoring and husbandry
  • Surgical & dental nursing support, instrument prep, recovery checks
  • Anaesthetic monitoring with supervision (and growing independence)
  • IV catheter placement, blood draws and lab runs (training provided)
  • Client communication and patient advocacy—being our eyes and ears

About you

  • Newly qualified, nearly finished studies, or early in your nursing career
  • Curious, kind, and calm under pressure; strong work ethic
  • Detail-focused—you notice the small changes that change outcomes
  • Comfortable learning new systems; open to feedback and coaching
  • We welcome candidates at any level of veterinary nursing qualification

Our hospital

We're a medium-sized, high-standards practice that punches above our weight - including forefront work in FIP treatment and a longstanding partnership with The Cat Protection Society of NSW, giving you a varied, interesting caseload.

Tools you'll use and learn on: IDEXX in-house suite, IM3 dental with dental radiography, renovated surgical suite, DR X-ray, new ultrasound, LigaSure, ETCO₂, transfusion equipment, TonoVet, and more.
