We are seeking a passionate Senior Regional Refurbishment Manager to oversee the delivery of reinstatement and refurbishment projects across our retirement villages in NSW. Reporting to the National Refurbishment Manager, your purpose is to create the most desirable place to live for residents through unit and apartment refurbishment projects.
In this role as Senior Regional Refurbishment Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality refurbishments while overseeing the performance, consistency and best practices across your region and direct reports. you will perform end-to-end project management duties including property inspections, budget estimating, documenting scope, tendering, contractor engagement and subsequent client-side management of contractors. You will be in regular communication with both internal and external stakeholders, monitoring and assisting in client-side management of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of Regional Refurbishment Managers within the designated region, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
- Establish and uphold high standards for the region through effective team management and leadership
- Managing the reinstatement and refurbishment of units and apartments across several allocated villages, whilst working with key stakeholders to ensure a high quality and timely project
- Delivering reinstatement and refurbishment projects as part of the resale process with end customer in mind
- Creation of scope and specification documentation, tender distribution & tender assessment
- Ensure safety and compliance of contractors and suppliers on site
- Providing direction to contractors and consultants to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and that projects are delivered on time
- Complete EHS audits and Contractor onboarding process
- Adhere to costs, standards, and ensure the refurbishment works are completed by settlement dates
- Complete general contract administration duties
Role Requirements
- Experienced in Project Management, preferably in residential fit out/refurbishments and renovations
- Current drivers licence essential, weekly site visits are required, and kilometers and tolls are reimbursed.
- Technical or tertiary qualifications in Property Management, Project Management or Business Studies desirable, or Cert IV Building & Construction with 5+ years Project Management experience, desired
- Outstanding organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a time sensitive environment
- Great communication skills and strong computer literacy
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to provide direction to contractors and consultants
- Resilient, solution focused and capable of problem solving amidst occasional time pressure and delivery deadlines
