About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, self-starting Shopify Full-stack Contractor to join a passionate team creating exceptional eCommerce experiences. You'll work on an existing Shopify website for a premium brand expanding globally into the US first, then if that goes well, we will replicate this for Europe. This is a fast-moving, light-touch project where you will collaborate directly with the CTO, designers, and product managers to deliver proof-of-concept features before scaling to international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customise and enhance existing Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript.
  • Deliver polished, responsive, and high-performing front-end interfaces.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to translate designs into Shopify storefronts.
  • Implement light integrations with third-party apps and APIs as needed.
  • Optimise Shopify sites for performance, accessibility, and SEO.
  • Proactively ask the right questions and provide suggestions to improve workflows and user experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong front-end Shopify experience (5+ years at least, with several Shopify sites delivered).
  • Experience with Liquid, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS/SCSS.
  • Familiarity with React is a plus for bespoke front-end components.
  • E-commerce experience with a track record of delivering high-quality Shopify projects.
  • Senior level developer with strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams, including with clients who love to know the people behind the work.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of independent decision-making.

Nice-to-Have

  • Exposure to Shopify APIs and integrations.
  • Experience with modern JS frameworks for custom front-end features.
  • Previous work in food, premium goods, or lifestyle brands.
