Our Opportunity

Work Location: Fortescue's Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

Roster:  8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth or 8D/6R –  Residential - Port Hedland

Join one of Australia's most innovative mining companies and play a key role in maintaining the structural integrity of critical infrastructure across Fortescue's Hedland Operations. We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to perform a variety of essential engineering functions, including structural inspections, assessment and reporting of fixed plant assets, balanced machines, and non-process infrastructure. You will also review structural drawings and calculations, and provide design input for minor structural works.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct structural inspections, defect assessments, and reporting across a wide range of site assets.Perform structural analysis and design of non-complex structures.Review technical drawings and engineering calculations.Provide expertise on fixed plant, balanced machines, and supporting infrastructure.Support asset management strategies with a strong understanding of operational environments.Apply knowledge in geotechnical and civil works to multidisciplinary tasks. Qualifications and Experience
Strong background in structural design, analysis, and inspection.Solid understanding of mining equipment and fixed plant operations.Knowledge of asset management systems, especially as it relates to infrastructure performance.Familiarity with geotechnical and civil engineering principles in mining or heavy industry.Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Membership (or eligibility) with Engineers AustraliaAbility to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).Valid C-Class WA Driver's Licence.
