Are you looking for a rewarding career in the mining industry? YEM Technology is offering an exciting opportunity for a Structural/Civil Engineer to join our team at the Sino Iron Project, located at Cape Preston, 100km southwest of Karratha in Western Australia. This is a FIFO role from Perth, working on an ongoing 8:6 roster.

About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated early career
Structural / Civil Engineer
to join our team. In this role, you will:

  • Prepare work packages
  • Assist with QA/QC and completions documentation.
  • Interpret project requirements and prepare/assess fabrication drawings
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure works are completed to design standards.
  • Provide practical solutions and technical support to supervisors and crews.
  • Develop and review drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
  • Support reporting and compliance requirements for structural works.

Please note that this position is
Perth-based FIFO only
.

Flights or travel allowances from other cities are not included.

In addition, the role is set for a minimum duration of 6 months. Working on an 8:6 roster.

What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised engineering degree (must be recognised by Engineers Australia).
  • Minimum 2 years of structural or civil engineering experience, preferably in a heavy industry or mining environment.
  • Ability to prepare and review drawings to Australian standards.
  • Competency with CAD software and structural modelling.
  • Experiences in haul roads, tailings and/or
  • Experience in structural integrity and corrosion control
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Mandarin proficiency will be considered an advantage.
