Assistant Bar Manager – Saltbush Bar & Grill

Saltbush Bar & Grill Ballina is a locally loved restaurant and bar, known for great food, creative cocktails, and friendly service. We're now looking for a motivated and hands-on Assistant Bar Manager to help lead our growing team.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone with strong hospitality experience who's ready to step up into a leadership role, working closely with the General Manager to deliver smooth day-to-day operations and exceptional guest experiences.


What You'll Do
  • Support the General Manager in overseeing daily bar operations.
  • Lead, train, and mentor the bar team to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Manage shift operations including stock control, cash handling, and staff supervision.
  • Assist in designing and executing seasonal cocktail and beverage menus.
  • Ensure compliance with RSA, WHS, and all licensing regulations.
  • Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, service, and guest satisfaction.

What We're Looking For
  • Previous hospitality/bar leadership experience (Supervisor or higher).
  • Strong mixology and cocktail creation skills, with a passion for developing exciting seasonal menusRSA certification (essential).
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Applications
