Machine Shop Manager
to lead operations in our Machine Shop and Welding Bay.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with a strong trade background in fitting and machining, combined with excellent people and operational management skills.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Machine Shop Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the production schedule to meet internal and external delivery deadlines
  • Supervising, planning, and prioritising daily activities across the Machine Shop and Welding Bay
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems
  • Operating machines when required to meet urgent deadlines
  • Assisting with quoting, project management, materials purchasing, and quality checks
  • Coordinating preventative maintenance for all shop equipment

What You'll Need to Succeed

We're looking for someone who brings leadership, technical skills, and a proactive mindset. To be successful, you'll need:

  • 5+ years' experience
    managing staff in a machine shop or similar workshop setting
  • Trade qualification
    in Fitting & Machining
  • CAD/CAM training
    and proficiency
  • Proven ability to lead cultural and operational change in a workshop environment
  • High-level computer literacy and strong communication skills
  • Ability to pass a
    Pre-Employment Medical
    , including
    Drug & Alcohol Testing
  • Full work rights in Australia
