Machine Shop Manager
to lead operations in our Machine Shop and Welding Bay.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with a strong trade background in fitting and machining, combined with excellent people and operational management skills.
What You'll Be Doing
As the Machine Shop Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the production schedule to meet internal and external delivery deadlines
- Supervising, planning, and prioritising daily activities across the Machine Shop and Welding Bay
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems
- Operating machines when required to meet urgent deadlines
- Assisting with quoting, project management, materials purchasing, and quality checks
- Coordinating preventative maintenance for all shop equipment
What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for someone who brings leadership, technical skills, and a proactive mindset. To be successful, you'll need:
- 5+ years' experience
managing staff in a machine shop or similar workshop setting - Trade qualification
in Fitting & Machining - CAD/CAM training
and proficiency - Proven ability to lead cultural and operational change in a workshop environment
- High-level computer literacy and strong communication skills
- Ability to pass a
Pre-Employment Medical
