Machine Shop Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Machine Shop Manager to lead operations in our Machine Shop and Welding Bay.

Job Description:

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with a strong trade background in fitting and machining, combined with excellent people and operational management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the production schedule to meet internal and external delivery deadlines, supervising and planning daily activities across the Machine Shop and Welding Bay, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and operating machines when required to meet urgent deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with quoting, project management, materials purchasing, and quality checks
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years' experience managing staff in a machine shop or similar workshop setting
  • CAD/CAM training and proficiency
  • Proven ability to lead cultural and operational change in a workshop environment
  • High-level computer literacy and strong communication skills
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, including Drug & Alcohol Testing
  • Full work rights in Australia
