Selection Criteria

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA - The successful candidate will:

  • Be accredited by NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) (or be eligible for said NESA accreditation).

  • Have Tertiary Educational Qualifications at Bachelor degree level or higher that are or would be recognised by NESA preferably with a major or subjects covering the relevant subject area(s).

  • Demonstrated experience teaching in a secondary school.

  • Have a current Working with Children Check.

  • Have a willingness to support the Catholic Ethos of the College, its Marist and Mercy Charism and the Vision of Red Bend Catholic College (please see www. )

  • Demonstrate passion and aptitude for teaching

  • Be able to present prescribed curriculum using a range of teaching techniques and materials.

  • Be a confident practitioner in a mixed ability classroom.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

The successful candidate may also:

  • Demonstrate a willingness to be involved in co curricula activities

  • Demonstrate a willingness to take sport in the timetable (once a week, two periods a week maximum).

  • Have a Senior First Aid and CPR Certificate.

Remuneration

Teaching staff at the College are covered by the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Teachers – Model C) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023. Current casual salary ranges from $464.15 to $520.48 per day.
