We're looking to welcome a new part-time HR consultant to the HR and Co. Consulting crew This is a flexible, mainly work-from-home gig for 15–20 hours a week, looking after our long-term clients across the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, SEQ, and inland QLD, and there are also some fun project opportunities that pop up regularly.

- 15 to 20 hours per week
- Working from home or clients' offices (mainly Sunshine Coast and Brisbane)
- An immediate start (preferable)
The Role
You will manage your own clients as well as support our team of HR Consultants.
The role has a generalist focus and supports all aspects of HR including recruitment and selection, learning and development, HR administration, performance management, remuneration, risk management, compliance, workplace health, wellbeing and safety, and HR reporting.
Activities will include the following and more:
- reviewing and/or developing documents such as employment contracts, forms, handbooks
- reviewing and/or developing policies and procedures
- performance management
- reviewing whole HR framework
- recruitment and selection - end-to-end
- onboarding and induction
- training - facilitation and/or presenting
- audit support (eg. ISO, HSQS, NDIS, Aged Care)
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Experience in a similar generalist HR Coordinator, Advisor, Officer or consulting role. Ideally, experience across disability services (and NDIS), community services, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, retail, hospitality, mining, trades, and building, however, not essential if you can demonstrate your quick learning and experience with working across several industries.
- Experience or exposure in the points listed above (activities 1 to 8).
- Computer literacy in a variety of software packages. For example, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and other Microsoft Software programs. Desirable – exposure to payroll and/or HRIS software. Bonus if you have experience with LMS / online courses.
- High level of communication skills; written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, and the ability to work with individuals at all levels.
- Project management skills (desirable) / ability to achieve tight timeframes.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in quality management systems (desirable).
- Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, organise and coordinate own workload as well as manage changing priorities. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Be a self-starter.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in human resources, business, management or similar.
- Open Queensland Drivers Licence.
