Position Overview

We are currently looking for a reliable Disability Support Worker to support a female participant in Kings Park. The role includes in-home and community-based support with a variety of daytime and evening shifts. Overnight shifts are not required.

You will join a supportive team focused on making a positive difference, working closely with the participant to enhance their quality of life and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, and hygiene
  • Support daily living activities including meal preparation, cleaning, and routines
  • Facilitate community access such as shopping, appointments, and recreational outings
  • Provide transport to and from activities and appointments
  • Encourage development of life skills and independence
  • Follow NDIS support plans and communicate any changes in care needs

Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a similar role
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • First Aid & CPR certifications
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Comfortable around dogs
  • Punctual, dependable, and able to follow directions accurately
  • Strong communication skills with a person-centred approach
  • Female applicants preferred due to participant support requirements
