Requirement
IPP Consulting has been providing security and technology consultancy for over 30 years and is undergoing significant growth across our organisation, particularly in NSW.
We are looking for an experienced Security Consultant to join our highly experienced, professional and passionate company. We work across most major market sectors, providing services to a large variety of projects, often involving a wide range of complexities. This provides our staff with the opportunity to broaden their experience, leading complex and challenging initiatives.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our Sydney-based team of expert Security Consultants, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills across a mix of technical work, project management and managing client relationships.
Qualifications/Skills
The ideal candidate will be aligned with the following:
- Extensive technical and high-level experience as a security consultant, having provided input to electronic security designs, reports and technical specifications, most likely gained through 5+ years in the industry.
- A degree in electronics, electrical engineering or communications is preferred.
- Highly desirable:
Familiar with Defence security requirements, SCEC Security construction design, compliance audits and inspections - NSW Security License 2A.
- Have or be able to obtain a clearance at NV1 level.
- Have a solid knowledge of the security industry and major security integrators in this industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate complex issues concisely both in writing and in person to all levels of IPP, client and supplier staff.
The Role
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Working independently as a security consultant developing security designs and providing advice to clients and architects.
- Preparing security strategic plans and business cases for major clients.
- Design of the following security systems, including but not limited to:
Video surveillance systems and video analytics systems, Electronic Access Control Systems, Intruder detection systems, Intercommunications systems and Electronic security networks. - Attending onsite inspections and assisting in the testing and commissioning of security systems.
- Building and maintaining trusted long-term professional relationships with clients across all levels.
- Opportunities to use project leadership and management skills.
