Requirement

IPP Consulting has been providing security and technology consultancy for over 30 years and is undergoing significant growth across our organisation, particularly in NSW.

We are looking for a Security Consultant to join our highly experienced, professional and passionate company.  We work across most major market sectors, providing services to a large variety of projects, often involving a wide range of complexities.  This provides our staff with the opportunity to broaden their experience, leading complex and challenging initiatives.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our Sydney-based team of expert Security Consultants, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills across a mix of technical work, project management and managing client relationships.

Qualifications/Skills

The ideal candidate will be aligned with the following:

• Professional experience as a security consultant, having provided input to electronic security designs, reports and technical specifications, most likely gained through 1 to 5 years in the industry.
• Previous experience in the security industry where you have worked with end users providing security advice.
• A degree in electronics, electrical engineering or communications is preferred.
• A NSW Security License 2A is highly desirable, however if not currently possessed, you must be eligible to obtain one.
• Be eligible to obtain a Commonwealth Base Line security clearance.
• Embrace a professional passion for helping organisations assess and deliver security/risk strategy and technology.
• Proactive, professional, collaborative and personable approach, possessing a mindset with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and Project.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in:

• Working with and supporting other security consultants leading to providing security design and advice to clients and architects.
• Preparing security drawings and schematics.
• Assisting in the design of the following security systems, including but not limited to: Video surveillance systems and video analytics systems, Electronic Access Control Systems, Intruder detection systems, Intercommunications systems, Electronic security networks.
• Providing detailed design documentation that fits the needs of our clients.
• Attending onsite inspections and assisting in the testing and commissioning of security systems.
• Building and maintaining trust-based, long-term professional relationships with clients across all levels.
• Opportunities to develop project leadership and management skills.
