Project Lead/Senior Project Engineer

We provide Tier 1 multidiscipline project solutions for brownfield and greenfield Sustaining Capital Construction Projects within the Western Australia mining, minerals and industrial sectors. We are currently looking for experienced, highly driven, safety and quality focused multidiscipline project leads & project engineers who will excel in a fast-paced work environment within our growing projects team.

About the role:

• 50/50 Site and Perth based role initially, overseeing on site project execution and tendering, project engineering, coordination and management.
• Opportunity to transition to Perth based Monday to Friday role with adhoc site execution and tendering in future.
• End to end project coordination, engineering and management of process plant and NPI multidiscipline brownfield and greenfield sustaining capital projects ranging from $500k to $25m.

• Delivery of complete project lifecycle including Project planning, scheduling and resource forecasting

• Procurement, subcontractor engagement and management in line with project budgets

• Project mobilisation and execution in line with drawings, specs and standards
• Safety, technical, engineering and QAQC support to site leadership teams
• Budget forecasting, tracking and project progress & performance reporting

• Contract & commercial management

• Compilation, review and submission of detailed tender schedules, methodologies, deliverables and clarifications in line with project requirements.

• Open communication and build positive working relationships with Clients, subcontractors and project team personnel.
• Work with project managers, engineers, superintendents and supervisors to ensure works are completed in compliance to project requirements, drawings and Australian standards.
• Regular remote site travel to oversee project execution and tendering as required.
• Complete management of project QAQC, inspections, reports, testing and documentation through to finalisation and sign off of project MDR.
• Lead by example in demonstrating and embedding a safe work culture across all aspects of works.
• Mentor, coach and upskill graduates, project engineers and junior team members as required.

Skills and experience:

• Minimum of 6+ years experience in a similar position.
• Engineering or Trade qualification.
• Strong experience in SMP & multidiscipline project execution & tendering in mining environments.
• Commitment and detailed knowledge of HSE policies, practices and legislation.
• Strong personal, team leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
• Flexibility to efficiently work within nimble and growing business environment.
• Experienced in MS office suite and MS Project.
• Can do, hands on attitude and happy to go to site regularly.
