Examiner Standards Manager (Speaking) – Australia (Remote-Friendly)
Role purpose
IDP Education
is inviting applications for the role of
Examiner Standards Manager (Speaking)
to join our dynamic global team.
This pivotal role ensures the
quality assurance of examiner marking and delivery standards
for Speaking tests across the IDP Test Centre Network and its programs. You'll also lead the
recruitment, training, and performance management
of our Examiner Trainer Network, ensuring we maintain high standards and meet global demand.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adequate numbers of qualified examiners and trainers are recruited, trained, and monitored.
- Manage examiner trainer performance via Partner-agreed monitoring processes.
- Conduct IELTS Online Speaking Examiner Trainer training events and webinars.
- Implement and evolve global PSN policy recommendations for Speaking test delivery.
- Collaborate with PSN Manager and Partner Work Groups to shape policies and strategies.
- Analyse wide-ranging data to report on systems, trainer standards, and marking quality.
- Liaise with Test Centre Administrators on examiner management and disciplinary matters.
- Design and deliver online training courses for global Examiners and Trainers.
- Engage with internal and external working groups and stakeholders.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Certified IELTS Speaking Examiner Trainer.
- Postgraduate qualifications or progress toward them, with extensive relevant experience.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to maintain focus under pressure.
- Extensive management expertise and ability to lead complex functional units.
- Comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy.
- Experience implementing policies requiring sensitivity and deep domain knowledge.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and content creation platforms.
- Proven experience working in online training and delivery environments.

The role will be responsible for quality assurance of examiner marking and delivery standards for Speaking tests for the IDP Test Centre Network and its various programs. It also manages the recruitment, standards and training of the IDP Examiner Trainer Network ensuring suitably qualified examiners are in place to meet regional and global test centre demand and the high standards of Speaking test delivery and marking.
