MPS Integrated is a market leader in commercial cleaning focusing on educational facilities, leisure and commercial buildings. We currently have a decentralised workforce of approximately 400 employees and we are expanding our workforce.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join our growing company. This position needs someone who loves the challenge and who are ready to meet the demands of our growing business.
Operational Responsibilities-
- Oversee the service delivery to ensure it consistently adheres to service schedules, quality standards, and client requirements.
- Collaborate with the CRMs to address operational challenges and ensure continuous improvement. Initiate and provide solutions. Follow up as necessary to verify the implementation of solutions.
- Ensure that all facilities, grounds, and spaces are maintained to ensure excellence in presentation and function.
- Ensure all areas at both the school and offsite Gym are presented to an excellent standard
- Monitor heating and cooling levels of rooms and buildings
- Identify items that are beyond repair for replacement and organise replacement of those items via preferred supplier of contractors in conjunction with both Business Manager and General Manager
- Maintain log of service requests and actions.
- Co-ordinate and assist with physical layouts for functions, assemblies, exam and classroom layouts.
- Ensure compliance with all Essential Services requirements to relevant standards, including maintenance of registers.
- Undertake regular audits of cleaning services and liaise with MPS cleaning CRM.
Safety
- Ensure a safe work environment for all staff
- Ensure all Material Safety Data Sheets throughout the School are current
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety and Workcover standards.
- Monitor workplace methods and practices to ensure safe operating procedures are being followed and environmental considerations taken are into account.
- Complete all required incident reporting in case of accidents, incidents and public liability incidents.
Cleaning Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Cleaning Supervisor to ensure presentation of school
- Undertake regular audits of cleaning services
Competencies and Skills
- Strong client management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
- Problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
- Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple clients and sites.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge and understanding of OH&S - safe systems of work and environmental management.
- Hazard identification and risk assessment aptitude.
- Approachable team player who works collaboratively.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and attention to detail.
