The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join the Investment reporting team based in either Melbourne or Sydney. You will drive increased transparency and oversight in relation to the calculation of daily unit prices and work closely with internal teams, such as Portfolio Analysis and Implementation (Investments), Tax and Financial Reporting, in addition to the Fund's Custodian. You will be responsible for the monitoring, development, and oversight of governance frameworks underpinning investment inputs obtained from the Fund's Custodian as well as internal teams, which are consumed for the purpose of the calculation of daily crediting rates and external reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the validation of daily unit prices, investment returns, and portfolio instruction processing including the investigation of any exceptions within agreed deadlines including the liaison with the custodian and external service providers.
• Ensure that tools are in place to effectively monitor and validate daily unit prices and portfolio instructions.
• Onboard new investments and fees into the Unit Pricing structure and ensure the validations and inclusion of investment valuations in daily unit pricing processes are delivered in line with agreed reporting time frames and governance frameworks.
• Monitor compliance of investment asset valuation policies in line with the Unit Pricing and Valuation Policy.
• Portfolio establishment and set-up in line with the appropriate governance framework.
• Review of regulatory returns in addition to leading the onboarding of new regulatory requirements associated with investment or custodian data.
• Assist with the development, monitoring, and maintenance of the Investment Governance Framework, the External Reporting Governance Accountability Framework, and underlying policies.
• Execution of process improvements as required including maintenance and updating of internal procedure documents.
• Provide support/advice to the other Financial Control team members as required.Other duties as requested by the Fund Operations Manager and/or Financial Controller.
  

About You

• Strong experience in Investments Management or Unit Pricing.
• CA / CPA / CFA qualified.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Mathematics based qualification.
• A methodical working style with an attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
• Advanced numerical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
• Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.Ability to understand and interpret the drivers of market events and movements.
