We're looking for a skilled Network Administrator to join our Group IT team in Chatswood, where you'll play a key role in maintaining and managing the critical infrastructure that keeps our business and services running smoothly.
About the Role
As a Network Administrator, you'll be responsible for ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of the Lumus Imaging network (on-premises and in the cloud). Working closely with the Network Team Leader and key stakeholders, you'll provide subject matter expertise across LAN, WAN (traditional and SD-WAN), data centre networks, and firewalls. This is a hands-on role that combines project delivery, operational support, and proactive maintenance.
You'll also be part of an on-call roster to provide 24/7 support, ensuring continuity for the critical systems that underpin healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and secure the Lumus Imaging network infrastructure (on-premises & cloud).
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot network equipment including Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet devices.
- Support LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and VXLAN EVPN technologies.
- Monitor performance via SNMP-based platforms (AKIPS advantageous).
- Participate in new site deployments, with occasional interstate travel.
- Lead technical response for incidents, root cause analysis, and resolution.
- Translate business requirements into effective network architecture and solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
About You
You're a proactive problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes ownership of challenges through to resolution. You have excellent communication skills, can collaborate across teams, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a supportive IT group.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in IT/Networking (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CCNA, Fortinet NSE4, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals.
- Proven experience designing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise networks.
- Strong knowledge of routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching (STP, VLANs), and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with VXLAN/EVPN, Microsoft Azure, and ITIL incident management.
- Ability to provide 24x7 support as part of a roster
