We currently have an opportunity for a full time Cleaner. Join our team and play a key role in managing the delivery of support services critical to maintaining the integrity of the hospital's operations. Reporting to the Cleaning Supervisor, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

What You'll Do (key responsibilities)

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

  • Complete patient room Discharge & Terminal cleaning including making beds as required
  • Complete department and ward-based "SuperCleans"
  • Ensure approved waste handling procedures in accordance with guidelines
  • Ensure that patient and staff confidentiality is maintained
  • Other duties as directed by Cleaning Supervisor or other Downer Management

What You'll Bring (experience required)

  • Knowledge and understanding of basic cleaning techniques
  • 1-5 years' experience in healthcare related cleaning desirable
  • Certificate II Cleaning or Health Support Services desirable
  • Experience with commercial cleaning equipment desirable
  • Confident, professional and well groomed
  • Above Award rate dependant on skills and experience.
