With continued growth, we're looking for a General Hand / Site Team Junior to join our onsite team

About the Role

The General Hand role provides onsite support across many projects, including deliveries, pickups, site establishment tasks, and site closure activities. This position is intended to provide flexible support for the Onsite Service Delivery Team (Onsite Team) while building skills through training and mentorship, allowing the individual to progressively take on routine non-specialised tasks.

The role underpins operational efficiency, supports the trade-based onsite team members, and contributes to the company's ability to deliver quality outcomes  in a safe manner on job sites.

Key Responsibilities

General Site Support

• Assist with site setup and pack-down activities, including erecting temporary structures and installing site signage.
• Perform pickups and deliveries of materials, tools, and equipment as required.
• Support site logistics, including material handling, storage and disposal.
• Assist with waste management disposal, cleaning and general tasks associated with maintaining safe, tidy worksites.

Routine Task Support

• Undertake routine / non-specialised trade-related tasks under the direction of qualified tradespeople within the Onsite Team.
• Assist with defect rectification tasks, minor repairs, or simple installation works where appropriate (and under appropriate supervision and direction where required).

Safety & Compliance

• Already hold or be willing to undertake the training course for the Workplace Health and Safety Queensland Construction Induction (White Card).
• Comply with all company, client, and legislative safety requirements.
• Participate in training courses as required and relevant to the duties of the position.
• Participate in site inductions, toolbox talks, and other safety initiatives.

• Timely and accurate completion of site support tasks.
• Compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Demonstrated progression in routine skillset capabilities.
• Contribution to the efficiency and successful delivery of the Onsite Team's objectives.
• QLD Workplace Health and Safety Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain one).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Valid QLD driver's license and full working rights in Australia.
