About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic casual Chef / Cook with a positive attitude, and who has an interest in progressing their culinary skills and is excited in joining a small kitchen team with likewise enthusiasm and dynamism.

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will assist in the managing of kitchen operations within the Club.

The successful candidate will have proven abilities in the following:

  • Proven general daily Chef duties including food preparation, short order, along with the ability to prep & implement both Private and Member Functions.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all Clubhouse staff for seamless operations.

  • Ability to maintain a high standard of food handling & hygiene practices.

  • Able to abide by all HAACP regulations

Desired skills and experience will include:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a fine dining environment

  • Experience catering for weddings, special occasions and social events up to 200 people

  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and excellent presentation

  • Good knowledge of current food trends, dedicated with a true passion for food

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

  • A flexible approach to the roster with the ability to work days, evenings and weekends

  • Own transport is highly desired
