Sprout Artisan Bakery has built a solid reputation within the Brisbane market for producing quality handcrafted baked products and maintaining high standards.

Having just finished building our brand new HQ at Craft'd Grounds in Albion, we have seen an increase in demand for our sourdough bread and pastries. We operate as a wholesale and retail bakery and are fortunate to already have a close-knit team of professionals. We are now ready to welcome a new member to contribute to our production team who have over 25 years of experience to draw from.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Company Director, you will be responsible for the daily management and delivery of our bread production. The role is fast paced due to production timelines and will require you to have strong organisational skills. The remit of this position is to continue to deliver on the current product lines according to recipes and ensuring you are producing according to deadlines, as well as bringing fresh ideas to the table as the seasons and available ingredients change.

Full-time or Part-time available

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Ability to follow precise company recipes and methods to ensure consistent and high-quality results;

Making high production numbers whilst maintaining quality products and presentation;

Weighing, mixing and making various dough according to recipes;

Hand-shaping sourdough loaves, baguettes and rolls.

Operating convection and deck ovens;

Strong people and communication skills are essential;

Ability to take direction, communicate and delegate;

Attention to detail, cleanliness and hygiene;

Experience with inventory control;

Confidence to work under pressure

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

A passion for baking and a thirst for knowledge

Previous experience in a similar role or high volume kitchen;

Minimum 3 years experience;

Baking qualifications, trade certificate or length of tenure;

A passion to strive for quality and consistency in output;

Real team player who is happy to assist where required;

Ability to work weekends and public holidays;

Flexibility on availability for roster and early starts;

Have the ability to work in Australia legally without any restrictions;

Professional and can-do attitude with a solid control of your temper when working to time constraints;

High commitment to WH&S practices and focus on eliminating and minimising hazards
