The purpose of this role is to provide robust, contemporary and comprehensive financial management to assist the organisation in achieving its objectives and Mission.
The role of the Finance Lead is to actively engage with managers and team leaders within the organisation, ensuring support and clear direction towards achieving financial business goals. The Finance Lead will drive financial performance, providing proactive support in quality financial analysis, advice, systems and automation of processes.

Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Support operational managers and team leaders to understand business requirements, providing them with guidance in relation to financial performance.
- Ensure monthly management reports are prepared and issued within agreed timeframes; facilitate analysis of operational units; provide estimated forecast of anticipated business performance; and ensure management reports and other financial reporting are reconciled
- Analyse and report relevant business performance drivers and recommend corrective changes, providing proactive commercial insights to improve financial outcomes.
- Lead in the planning and execution of Brightwater's annual budget and forecasting process.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end procedures and reconciliations, ensuring financial and management reports are reconciled for completeness and consistency of information, fulfilling any statutory reporting requirements
To be successful for the role, you will possess the following attributes:
- CPA or CA or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- Significant and relevant work experience within an organisation in a similar role.
- High level of analytical ability and proven technical skills.
- Well-developed financial modelling and decision support skills.
- Excellent computer skills including excellent working knowledge of PC based accounting systems and Microsoft excel spreadsheets.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills that deliver effective leadership, builds and develops teamwork and establishes successful working relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated well developed use of decisions support tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI) and financial report writers (Epicor, Prophix or others).
- Aged Care, Health industry or service orientated experience (desirable).
- Satisfactory compliance requirement that includes National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 months and a valid driver's licence to drive in Western Australia, as defined by the WA Department of Transport (DoT).
