The Role

With incredible people doing an exceptional job at Ignite, we are looking for a full-time Senior Account Manager who will work out of our Sydney CBD office. You will be working within the specialist recruitment team in a challenging environment. This position is designed to secure new business clients and develop existing clients by promoting our services including providing the client with suitable contract and permanent staff. Senior Account Managers must meet a monthly target that is based on revenue gained as a result of permanent and contract placements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine appropriate sourcing methods to maximise expenditure and reduce time to hire
  • Clarify ambiguous job requirements with Hiring Managers including skills and success factors for each role
  • Locate, attract and retain skilled candidates through proactive recruiting and engagement techniques including using personal networks to locate and refer prospective candidates as well as social media and traditional Job Boards
  • Ensure that stakeholders remain informed and engaged throughout the recruitment process. Cultivate relationships as a trusted advisor through consulting and closing on roles with both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maximise opportunities for ongoing business development
  • Satisfactorily resolve typical objections such as salary, career growth, counter offers etc. Ensure room for negotiation in pre-closing with both candidate and Hiring Manager.
  • Generate job leads through recruitment activities such as cold calling, call cycle and pipeline management, running promotional campaigns and advertising materials etc.
  • Develop and agree client sales plans and prospect lists in line with team objectives
  • Effectively penetrate common types of resistance on sales calls whether from prospects, candidates or clients
  • Build personal brand online to attract talent and nurture candidate relationships
  • Stay abreast of emerging roles and opportunities with current clients and targeted industry sectors
  • Create loyal customers through an in-depth understanding of the client's business and partner with them to deliver recruitment solutions for long term value
  • Leverage and integrate cross branding opportunities to maximise business opportunities through a total recruitment solution

Your Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to win new business through strong sales processes
  • Understanding of client retention processes and techniques to deploy to grow existing relationships
  • Ability to identify core role requirements and build competency frameworks to support the sourcing process
  • Strong interviewing skills to effectively assess candidate suitable. This includes the ability to assess both technical skills and behavioural capabilities of a candidate.
  • Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills with a strong customer service orientation
  • Demonstrated high level organisational skills including time management and record management
