About the Team
You'll join our Systems Engineer team, a collaborative, purpose driven, and focused on working on complex systems that support Australia's Defence and Intelligence communities. Our team integrates diverse technologies and disciplines to deliver secure, high assurance solutions that perform reliably in demanding environments. About the Role
Consunet is seeking an enthusiastic Business Analyst to work collaboratively with a team of engineers, software developers, and clients to build advanced Electromagnetic Warfare software products. With your knowledge and experience working within complex Defence programs, you will apply relevant systems engineering standards and best practices, and follow Consunet's Engineering Management System processes, to deliver exceptional results for our customer.
This role requires aptitude, enthusiasm, and an eye for detail. You will provide systems engineering expertise and actively participate in fostering and maintaining long-lasting customer relationships.
What You'll Do
- Elicit and manage requirements for predominantly software-intensive systems, , and verify and validate developed software against those requirements.
- Develop high-level designs to meet the functional and non-functional requirements.
- Support the development and maintenance of engineering artefacts throughout the engineering lifecycle. This includes activities and documentation associated with requirements high-level design, verification and validation, introduction into service, sustainment, and the management of change and traceability for audit purposes.
- Implement system engineering activities in accordance with Agile principles.
- Contribute to system reviews and system verification activities.
- Contribute to tender responses.
What You'll Bring
We're seeking Systems Engineers across various levels who bring a mix of technical expertise, leadership potential, and a passion for secure innovation You'll bring:
- Proficiency in systems engineering processes including design, integration, and validation.
- Experience across the full Systems Engineering Lifecycle.
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with configuration management principles.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience integrating hardware and software components in secure environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to technical challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with common systems engineering standards, tools and practices
Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in working with the design and implementation of software products.
- Experience in, or understanding of, Agile software engineering methodologies
- Knowledge of one or more of the following domains: Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Electromagnetic Warfare (C4ISREW) or Information Warfare (IW).
Qualifications
- A relevant degree in Engineering, with a strong foundation in systems engineering standards, tools, and practices.
