Experienced Mechanical/Structural Estimator Wanted

For over a century, the Spencer Gulf region of South Australia has been a major contributor to our country's industrial revolution; energy, transport, construction, mining and minerals. And Gadaleta Steel Fabrication (GSF) have been a supplier of choice to our region's industrial heavy weights.

GSF are now entering our next phase of growth and evolution. With our newly commissioned cutting edge CAD/CAM for our 6 Axis CNC systems to Plasma Cut, Plate Bend, Plasma Scribe and Drill. We are exponentially growing our capability, and in turn, we are looking for the best to join our team.

We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to support, our Whyalla site for the timely response to tenders. Must have experience in some of the following areas:

  • Piping work

  • Plate work (i.e. tanks, hoppers, chutes, bins)

  • Mining structural steel projects

  • Builds of new mining equipment (i.e. loader buckets, dump truck trays)

  • Knowledge of local and interstate mines.

  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant standards relating to work being quoted.

  • Experience with doing material take-offs

  • Liaising with suppliers and contractors to obtain outside pricing.

  • Experience with contractual requirements, and

  • Preparation of proposal letters ready for submission.

Requirements:


• Work in a team environment

• Current driver's license

• Ability to pass pre-employment medical including D&A
