About the role:
We are looking for Quality Cloud Engineer (Software Developer in Test) who want to join and grow a high-performing team which aims to help create a world class engineering capability. The technologies used will be wide ranging and varied. Ideal candidates should be enthusiastic about learning new technologies and working across different clients and sectors. In this role we will be bringing together the traditional responsibilities across Quality Engineering, DevOps and Cloud Engineering.

Skills and Experience:
- CI/CD:
Set up automated tests to run in continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring that tests are triggered and results are available at each stage of the build process. Proven ability to build, maintain and optimise pipelines. - End-to-End Testing Optimisation:
Analyse existing complex end-to-end tests, identifying opportunities to break down and streamline these tests for more efficient execution and better coverage. - Test Strategy and Best Practices:
Define and promote best practices for test automation, providing guidance on tool selection, framework architecture, and testing methodologies. - Test Automation:
Develop and maintain native test automation frameworks, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and easy to maintain. - Software Engineering:
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) - Strong problem-solving skills
with the ability to analyse issues and develop effective solutions.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with testing tools, such as Playwright.
- Working knowledge of using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Experience working with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure), practical knowledge of containerisation tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working in Agile environments and contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
