The RBA have are hiring for a Team Leader - IT Analysts position to oversee and lead a team of IT Analysts. This position is a 2 year Fixed Term Contract opportunity that will be based in our Western Sydney Office.
About the role
- Create a RBA values aligned culture, enabling an environment for high levels of employee engagement and achievement.
- Contribute to the broader strategic direction and leadership of the area, sharing accountability with other leaders for overall performance of deliverables and outcomes that meet current and future needs.
- Provide advice and deliver business aligned and industry leading IT services, technology planning, and project and technology service delivery (including infrastructure and operations, banking, payments, business intelligence, market platforms, enterprise systems, application development, security and architecture), to contribute to the organisation's strategic goals.
- Ensure operational accountability regarding people management, budget and processes.
- Lead, guide and develop individuals and teams, including project teams where required, to effectively achieve area outcomes.
- Enable and recognise workforce performance in a way that encourages continuous improvement and maximises the value that can be delivered through technology investments.
- Contribute to the improvement of policies, systems and processes, ensuring the integrity and suitability of information, disciplined documentation and alignment with industry standards.
- Identify and respond to issues, risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriate processes and resources are in place to deliver technology solutions that are consistent with agreed service levels.
- Manage internal and external relationships and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders ensuring that expectations are continually aligned.
About you
- Experience in representing an IT department across a bank or similar organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage risks and issues to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Bank's information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to own and communicate responsibilities in relation to health, safety and holistic wellbeing.
- Knowledge of industry standards and demonstrated ability to guide activities throughout the project and solution lifecycle including design, implementation and compliance.
- Understanding of Bank-wide (or similar organisation) and area-specific policies and processes, and demonstrated ability to monitor and guide on compliance, as well as influence others.
- Strong understanding and technical expertise in the area under management as well as available and emerging technology (most roles have).
- Experience leading, developing and motivating a work area or project of IT specialists who exercise independence in their work, as well as implementing strategy.
