We're partnering with a highly respected engineering consultancy at the forefront of Australia's energy transition to find their next
Manager - Power Systems.

This is an opportunity for an experienced power systems professional to step into leadership and shape the future of grid connection delivery across large-scale renewable and energy storage projects.

You'll lead a high-performing technical team, drive project excellence, and help build capability across a growing business that's focused on innovation, collaboration, and sustainability.

The Opportunity

As Manager - Power Systems you'll:

  • Lead and mentor a team of power systems engineers, fostering an engaged and collaborative culture.
  • Oversee the delivery of complex grid connection and power systems studies, ensuring technical excellence and compliance.
  • Work closely with clients to provide innovative, commercially sound solutions that drive successful project outcomes.
  • Identify and evaluate new grid connection opportunities for renewable and new energy projects.
  • Build capability within the team through training, recruitment, and performance development.
  • Play an active role in business planning, proposal development, and client engagement.

This role will suit someone ready to step up from a Principal or Senior Engineer position into a leadership role, or an experienced team lead looking for a fresh challenge with autonomy and impact.

About You

You'll bring a strong mix of technical depth, leadership capability, and commercial awareness.

Key experience and attributes:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent.
  • Senior or Principal-level experience in Power Systems (RPEQ / NER highly regarded).
  • Strong understanding of AEMO National Electricity Rules (NER) for generator and load connection.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex projects from feasibility through to execution.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A people-focused approach, with a passion for mentoring and team development.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance technical delivery and commercial outcomes.
