With a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and technical excellence, they offer a dynamic and inclusive workplace where your expertise will help shape the future of energy Your new role As Lead Power Systems Engineer, you'll play a critical role in managing grid connection aspects across the sales, commissioning, and construction phases of utility-scale renewable energy projects. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant and competitive grid solutions, while overseeing technical and resource management throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Reviewing Balance of Plant (BoP) designs and documentation for compliance with standards and grid requirements
  • Supporting power system studies and coordinating with grid modelling teams
  • Ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of grid connection documentation
  • Liaising with stakeholders to resolve grid connection issues
  • Managing procurement, installation, and commissioning of grid monitoring and control systems
  • Conducting compliance testing, model validation (R2), and generator registration with AEMO
  • Engaging and managing external power systems consultancies
  • Preparing technical responses and delivering presentations to clients
  • Participating in safety, design, and risk workshops
  • Reviewing tender specifications and assessing RFIs and payment claims
What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering
  • RPEng or CPEng registration preferred
  • Strong experience in grid connection compliance, ideally in wind farm projects
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, and PowerFactory
  • Experience in substation electrical design and stakeholder negotiation
  • Ability to manage consultants and designers in a construction environment
  • Comfortable working in high-pressure project settings
