Chelvon Quarries is a locally operated business supplying top-quality sand products across the region. We're known for our focus on safety, reliability, and teamwork.

We're looking for a Mobile Equipment Serviceman to join our hardworking crew and help keep our gear running smoothly at our quarry site.

The Role

This is a hands-on role where you'll be out in the field, keeping our mobile plant and equipment serviced, fuelled, and ready to go. You'll work closely with our supervisors, workshop team and operators to make sure everything stays in top condition and downtime is kept to a minimum.

Day-to-day you'll be:

  • Refuelling and greasing mobile equipment and vehicles
  • Carrying out basic servicing and minor repairs
  • Conducting pre-start checks — oil, fluids, safety systems, lights, etc.
  • Keeping the workshop and yard tidy and organised
  • Helping mechanics with maintenance jobs as needed
  • Reporting any safety or maintenance issues immediately

What We're Looking For

We want someone reliable, safety-minded, and not afraid to get their hands dirty. A person who takes pride in their work, pitch in as part of a team, and have a good mechanical understanding of how things run.

You'll need to have:

  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence (manual)

  • Commitment to following all company OHS policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace

  • A solid mechanical aptitude and practical approach

  • A strong focus on safety and doing the job right
  • A good attitude and willingness to learn
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all conditions
  • Fit for work and able to pass a pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol screening)
  • Prepared to work overtime as required

It's a bonus if you have:

  • HR Drivers Licence
  • Forklift licence
  • Automotive Trade Certificate preferred (or relevant experience)
  • Experience working in a quarry, mining, or civil environment
