What's Involved
- Apply Systems Engineering methodologies to produce accurate, auditable data and documentation aligned with procedural requirements.
- Conduct detailed requirement analysis of relevant sections of the Technical Specification to ensure compliance and clarity.
- Design and integrate Class-approved systems with client requirements and supplied components.
- Validate subcontractor system designs to ensure they meet current classification rules.
- Develop comprehensive requisition documents that clearly define design elements and system interfaces.
- Define and manage interface requirements across subsystems to ensure correct integration between connected equipment, especially when multiple subcontractors are involved.
You'll Need
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics/Mechatronics).
· Experience working within a similar position, designing the elements of all navigation and communication systems on vessels.
- A solid understanding of electronic systems and system integration concepts.
- A solid understanding of mandatory IMO Navigation and Communication systems.
- A solid understanding of IP CCTV systems and networking.
- A solid understanding of RF signal propagation and interference concepts and ability to do aerial arrangements.
- A solid understanding of Production methods and the practical application of design.
