About the service
Founded with a strong community spirit, the centre remains true to its not-for-profit, community-managed roots, placing children, families, and educators at the heart of everything it does.
Licensed for 55 children, four thoughtfully designed rooms cater to specific age groups, ensuring every child experiences learning environments tailored to their developmental needs. Each space is calm, natural, and purpose-built, complemented by spacious and engaging outdoor areas that encourage exploration and connection with nature, as well as rooms that are over-ratio.
The centres educational philosophy is based on inclusive, collaborative, and play-based learning, where strong relationships with families and the community are actively fostered. Diversity is celebrated, and First Nations perspectives are deeply embedded through long-standing cultural partnerships, including an ongoing collaboration with a Wiradjuri artist.
A dedicated Educational Leader supports the delivery of rich and responsive programs, ensuring alignment with the VEYLDF and the NQF. Governance is provided by a committed parent-led Committee of Management, ensuring transparency and community-centred decision-making.
With over 40 years of continuous operation, the centre has achieved exceeding ratings in all seven quality areas of the National Quality Standard across three consecutive assessment cyclesmost recently in 2023affirming its place as a leader in early childhood education.
About you
We are seeking a values-aligned leader who excels in a collaborative and community-focused environment. You will ideally bring:
- ·A Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA equivalent)
- 5 years experience in a leadership or Centre Manager role, ideally within a community-managed, not-for-profit context
- Deep knowledge of the NQF, standards and regulations
- A proven and favourable track record regarding Assessments and Ratings
- A calm, responsible, and emotionally intelligent leadership style
- An action-oriented leader who can think on their feet and get the best out of the team
- Strength in building lasting relationships with educators, families, and local partners
- Organisational confidence, strategic thinking, and a focus on sustainable team culture
