**About the Centre**

The Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre (APARC) is an important community facility and is just one of the leisure and aquatic facilities that make up the Boroondara Leisure and Aquatic Facilities (BLAF) that is managed by the YMCA and owned by the City of Boroondara. Maximising Health & Wellness and Swimming Lesson membership growth within a highly competitive market remains a key challenge at APARC. **About the role**

As a Duty Manager at APARC you will maintain a broad knowledge of centre programs and services whilst at the same time managing a range of centre functions whilst on shift. APARC is a large centre with a variety of facilities, programs and services, it will be your job to be across all of these, which creates a challenging and exciting work environment.

You will be required to;
- Work autonomously as well as being an active leader.
- Have plant room knowledge that can be used to problem solve issues and conduct required maintenance
- Assist in customer service and membership enquires
- Problem solve when things arise on shift that require actioning when no other management is on site.
- Ensuring smooth operation of the centre

This is a full time position and the hourly rate is $29.08 + Super.

**About you**

**Essential Qualifications**
- Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR certificate

**Other Desired Qualifications or Knowledge**
- Aquatic Technical Operator Skill Set Certificate
- Knowledgeable and skilled in all aspects of plant and Branch operational aspects
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Legislation is an advantage
- Previous experience in a similar facility in a supervisory role is desirable
