Applications are invited from experienced Speech Pathologists to join the admitted Speech Pathology team. The Level 4 Speech Pathologist is a senior position in the admitted team who provides clinical leadership, expertise and education to the admitted Speech Pathology team. The level 4 Speech Pathologist will have a breadth of knowledge and expertise in general practice is such that they provide a consultancy service on a range of clinical areas within their discipline. Availability to work weekends, in a set shift capacity and/or as part of a team roster is essential. We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity, please outline evidence of this in your application.
- Demonstrated current clinical knowledge, expertise and advanced skill in the management of adult dysphagia and communication disorders within a healthcare setting with evidence of leadership within a clinical environment.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and skills in advanced practice areas of Speech Pathology such as tracheostomy, laryngectomy, Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES), and/or videofluorosocopy
- Proven experience in leading, initiating, and completing clinical quality initiatives, service evaluation and/or research.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and guide teams and individuals
- Extensive experience in clinical teaching and supervision for students and allied health staff.
- Experience in coordinating and/or facilitating in-servicing at a department level.
- Proven ability to build networks and collaborate effectively across a variety of team at an organisation network level internally and externally
Employment Type: This is a permanent, part-time (32 hours a week) opportunity.
