FMI BI is a leader in high-performance glass manufacturing. We take pride in delivering quality products, safely and on time, every time. With continued growth in operations, we are seeking a reliable, hands-on Afternoon Shift Supervisor to lead our Dispatch team at our Noble Park facility.
About the Role
This is a practical, operational role. The Afternoon Shift Supervisor will coordinate end-of-day dispatch activity and prepare for the incoming day shift. You will lead by example— loading trucks, managing vehicle movements, and ensuring all paperwork is ready for the next day's operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the afternoon dispatch team to ensure safe, accurate, and timely loading of outbound goods.
- Load trucks and operate vehicle movements onsite as required.
- Confirm dispatch documentation is complete, accurate, and ready for the morning shift.
- Liaise with production to verify all orders are ready and meet quality requirements.
- Conduct end-of-day checks on inventory, stillages, and delivery readiness.
- Enforce PPE and manual handling compliance in line with WorkSafe Victoria standards.
- Ensure site cleanliness and secure close-down of the dispatch area.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dispatch, warehousing, or logistics supervision.
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach—this is not an office-based role.
- Heavy rigid license required
- Forklift licence and experience with truck loading and glass handling.
- High attention to detail and ability to prepare and verify dispatch documentation.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to manage a small, productive team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance protocols.
