Executive Assistant

Ashburton Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a highly capable and professional Executive Assistant to provide dedicated support to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive team. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient operation of executive functions and governance processes within the organisation. This role is responsible for managing executive-level administrative functions, supporting governance and compliance processes, coordinating travel, and overseeing document control systems. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organisational skills, discretion, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO and other Executive staff as required.
- Coordinate and manage travel arrangements for executive staff, including itineraries and bookings.
- Assist with governance and compliance documentation, including preparation of reports, meeting papers, and correspondence.
- Maintain and oversee document control systems to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Manage scheduling, diary coordination, and general administrative tasks to support executive operations.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum of three years' experience in a senior executive support role, including demonstrated expertise in preparing documentation for board meetings and supporting governance processes.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel to the Pilbara region on occasion.
- Ability to provide a NPC before commencement of role.
- Prior experience working with Aboriginal organisations or within the not-for-profit sector.
- Understanding of governance and compliance frameworks in a corporate or community context.
- Qualification in Communications, Business Administration or other relevant field.
