
Maintenance Manager

As Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering proactive maintenance strategies, supporting technical innovation, and fostering a strong team culture focused on safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-skilled maintenance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional growth.
- Maintenance Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a proactive preventive maintenance strategy to minimise machine downtime and ensure optimal performance across all sites.
- Oversee all repair and maintenance operations, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient completion of work across equipment, machinery, and facilities.
- Financial & Resource Management: Manage the maintenance budget, including cost-effective procurement and inventory control of spare parts and equipment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with production and quality teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and drive process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
- Safety, Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with WHS regulations and environmental standards, conducting regular inspections and audits to proactively identify and address risks.
- Proven leadership experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of maintenance systems, tools, and best practices, with a focus on minimising downtime and enhancing reliability.
- A clear understanding of the commercial impact of equipment downtime and the ability to implement strategies to mitigate it.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams with a strong focus on safety, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Solid understanding of WHS legislation and Australian/New Zealand compliance standards.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Relevant Australian Trade Qualification (Certificate III or equivalent); Lean or 5S certification is desirable.
