Our client is a leading developer and operator of hyperscale data centers with global footprints in locations such as Australia, Japan, Korea, America, Frankfurt etc. Currently seeking for a highly strategic and results-driven Site Senior Manager to assume full operational leadership of one of our flagship Australian data centers in Melbourne. This is a critical role where you will be the ultimate on-site authority, responsible for the 24/7/365 operational excellence, security, and efficiency of the facility. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and managers, ensuring we deliver on our unwavering commitment to 100% uptime for our clients.

Responsibilities

· Operational Leadership: Provide direct oversight and accountability for all aspects of data center operations, including critical infrastructure (power, cooling, fire safety), facility maintenance, and physical security.

· Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of facility managers, engineers, and technicians. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and professional excellence.

· Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients on all operational matters, building strong relationships and ensuring the highest level of service delivery. Liaise with vendors, contractors, and utility providers.

· Performance & Compliance: Drive operational and financial performance against key metrics (PUE, uptime, budget). Ensure strict compliance with all SLAs, SOPS, and health, safety, and environmental regulations.

· Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for site capacity, maintenance, and lifecycle management to support both current and future client needs.

Requirements:

· 8+ years of experience in critical facility or data center operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or site management role.

· Deep technical expertise in critical infrastructure systems, including HV/LV electrical distribution, UPS, generators, chillers, and BMS.

· Proven experience in managing large operational and capital budgets.

· Demonstrated success in leading, developing, and scaling high-performing technical teams in a 24/7 environment.

· Strong understanding of OH&S/WHS regulations and a relentless commitment to a zero-harm safety culture.
