The Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Slaughter Floor Manager to oversee daily operations on the slaughter floor. This role is critical to ensuring smooth workflow, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the achievement of production targets while maintaining a safe and positive working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise slaughter floor operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance.
  • Lead, train, and support team members to meet production and quality standards.
  • Monitor workflow and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with animal welfare, hygiene, OH&S, and regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with senior management to achieve production goals and KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in meat processing, with a strong understanding of slaughter floor operations.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of animal welfare regulations, food safety, and workplace health & safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
