We are seeking an experienced
Environment Advisor
to support the Energy Business Unit.

About the Role

  • Environmental systems expertise in level of planning, development and review across organisation.
  • Develop and implement process and/or product system of audits and schedules.
  • Stakeholder management & communication across business and external support areas.
  • Training and facilitation in high-risk activities such as spill response and the ability to run focus groups/workshops.
  • Support the development of programs and processes that transfer competencies and preventative Environmental behaviour.
  • Environmental, Standards and Management Systems and their application to project requirements.
  • Relevant management systems such as Quality & Risk.
  • Project management systems, structure, plans and implications for quality and accountabilities as it applies to strategic support.
  • Continuous improvement in identifying and modifying work processes, technology and/products.
  • Provide specialist environmental knowledge and expertise at the project and operations level.
  • Establish Environmental performance expectations, goals and standards for managing all Project-wide Environmental requirements and key risks.
  • Support the development and management of Environmental team personnel that are able and capable of leading contemporary Environmental practices and driving improvement.

About You

  • Bachelor Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Sustainability or other associated disciplines., or;
  • Post graduate qualifications, e.g. graduate certificate or graduate diploma in Environmental, Risk, Sustainability, Project Management or other associated disciplines.
  • Generalist Environment Management over 10 years in Engineering, Construction, Environmental, Consulting, Quality or other associated functional areas.
  • Skill in quantitative and qualitative environmental risk assessment and development of risk controls and actions involved in delivery and implementation of projects.
  • Skill in using and supporting Environmental Management information systems within the Project teams.
  • Proven knowledge of Environmental statutes and legislation.
  • Expert understanding of incident investigations and reporting.
  • Knowledge of auditing, compliance and reporting procedures and processes and responsibility for implementation.
  • Ability to lead high level investigations involving multiple internal and external parties.
  • Skill in document and record management process and procedures.
  • Skill in developing, analysing and reporting on environmental performance, compliance and defects and/or non-conformance.
  • Proficient in project management systems, structure, plans and implications for quality and accountabilities as it applies to strategic support.
