As the Advanced Allied Health Assistant, you will support and assist the staff of the Speech Pathology in the provision of clinical and operational support for children within the Queensland Children's Hospital and provide organisational support for the Speech Pathology department.
About The Team
The Queensland Children's Hospital Speech Pathology team provides specialised service to children with complex medical conditions that impact on communication and feeding/swallowing difficulties.
About The Role
In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values . Your contribution will include:
- Work cooperatively and effectively in the Speech Pathology team under the direction of more senior staff, to deliver Speech Pathology clinical support services to assist in the provision of efficient and effective services to patients and families of Children's Health Queensland.
- Maintenance of relevant clinical documentation and collection of statistics in accordance with organisational guidelines.
- Provide a defined range of clinical screening assessments and interventions for patients of the Speech Pathology Department, as delegated.
