Eris (formerly Kuiper Australia) is an Australian-owned and operated provider of fully integrated recruitment and personnel logistics solutions to the energy industry. With an exemplary track record supporting some of Australia's most significant projects, we are now seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator to join our close-knit team in the Perth CBD. This role is being offered on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, with the option to extend an additional 12 months by mutual agreement.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute across a diverse portfolio of offshore construction, maintenance, and decommissioning projects.


The Role

As HSE Coordinator, you will:

  • Develop policies, procedures, protocols, and templates aligned with legislative requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Eris' HSE Management System.
  • Prepare project-specific HSE plans and procedures in line with client requirements.
  • Conduct hazard/risk analyses and implement effective risk control programs.
  • Support incident investigations and develop preventive measures.
  • Maintain the risk management register in collaboration with management.
  • Deliver HSE reporting and convene Health & Safety Committee meetings.
  • Plan and maintain effective emergency response programs.
  • Undertake regular site visits to engage with the workforce and support HSE initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training, inductions, and awareness programs.
  • Support Eris' Quality Management Systems when required.

About You

You will bring:

  • Diploma in Safety (minimum requirement).
  • At least 5 years' experience in an HSE Coordinator or similar role.
  • Strong skills in accident/incident reporting and investigation.
  • Practical experience implementing risk controls.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.

Highly regarded (but not essential):

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
  • Certification in Incident Investigation and/or Auditing.
  • Exposure to rope access or working at heights.
  • Offshore oil & gas or energy industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems, ISO, and audits.
  • BOSIET / FOET certification.
