Senior Technical Content Designer

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Content Designer to help us shape the next generation of Atlassian's developer ecosystem and marketplace.

In Ecosystem & Marketplace, we empower a global community of developers, partners, and makers to build and innovate on the Atlassian platform. Through our Cloud Development platform Forge, we enable third parties and customers to build solutions that extend beyond our core offering and customize Atlassian apps to meet their needs.

As a Technical Content Designer, you'll play a key role in shaping the next generation of developer experience with enablement content for Forge, Rovo Dev AI, Studio, and the Atlassian Marketplace. You'll collaborate with product, engineering, marketing and developer experience to create clear, actionable, and future-ready content that empowers developers to build, extend, and innovate on Atlassian's platform. Your work will directly impact the success of our developer community and help define the future of extensibility, agent-building, and app development at Atlassian.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver high-quality documentation, guides, and tutorials for the Atlassian platform.
• Shape and implement AI-first content strategies that deliver impactful developer and partner experiences across our core website properties, and
• Collaborate with Product Designers and Engineers to develop and implement strategic content plans aligned with business and product objectives.
• Regularly work with Atlassian's AI tools to accelerate delivery, reduce risk and scale your impact.
• Design and implement user research plans to test and iterate content against strategic benchmarks and success measures.
• Review and respond to developer feedback through our feedback channels and respond to questions raised on the Developer Community.
• Be a custodian of, and contribute to, content guidelines, best practices, and the adoption of new tools and workflows.
• Future-proof our documentation for AI-driven discovery and consumption.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years proven experience as a technical content designer, technical writer, with sound knowledge of developer platforms, SaaS, or cloud environments.
• Ability to deliver exceptional technical content tailored to developer and partner audiences, built on a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to write and edit technical content (API docs, tutorials, conceptual guides) for both novice and expert developers.
• Experience collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams in an agile environment.
• Familiarity with docs-as-code workflows, Markdown, and content management systems.
• Passion for simplifying complex concepts and making technical information accessible.
• Committed to continuous improvement, sharing knowledge, with a genuine drive to help shape the future content design.
• Growth mindset, openness to feedback, and a desire to learn and experiment with new tools and approaches.
• Bonus: Experience with AI-powered developer tools, low-code/no-code platforms.
• Bonus: Experience with prompt engineering, LLMs, or contributing to agent-based developer platforms.
