About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Personal Assistant who has a strong finance background and has extensive MYOB experience. You will be working for the owner of two businesses, one business is a Finance brokering business and the other a wholesale bakery.

70% of the role will be supporting the owner in the finance brokering business, running quotes, answering emails, completing applications, chasing documents from clients and completing settlements. You must have a really good understanding of finance, you must be super organised and a face paced worker.

The second part of the role will be taking care of the book keeping for the bakery business. For this you must have extensive MYOB experience, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, paying superannuation, BAS ect.

The owner spends approx 3 days per week onsite, but sometimes it could be 1 day or 5 days. You do have the option of working from home on the days he is not in the office if preferred, but this can be discussed.

This role will be a school hours role. The start and finish hours are flexible to a point, but usually school hours staff work form 9am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar personal assistant role
  • You must understand how finance works and must be good with numbers.
  • You must have an excellent knowledge of MYOB and be able to confidently complete all our book keeping work - the bakery has 12 staff so must be able to process payroll and everything else that is required for the book work of the balkery from day to day.
  • There will be other parts to this role, like you will be responsible for contacting suppliers in China to find cheaper options for our packaging options, and arranging everything that is needed to bring on these new suppliers.
  • If you have website (wordpress) and marketing experience (social media and adwords) that will also be a huge advantage as we are transforming the bakery business to online atm.
  • Plus any other tasks that the owner needs assistance with.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in the use of Google docs.
