About the Role
This fixed term, two year role supports the governance framework for the Cowboys Group, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving the development, review and implementation of policies and procedures. The role works across our NRL Club, our Charity and our League's Club – making a meaningful impact on our community, every single day.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and enhance the organisation's governance framework, policies and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with legal, regulatory and internal requirements; prepare compliance reports.
• Coordinate cyclical policy reviews to align with best practice and organisational objectives.
• Support Board and executive governance reporting, including meeting papers and registers.
• Assist with risk management processes and compliance audits.
• Provide practical advice and guidance to stakeholders on governance and policy matters.
Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications
• Tertiary qualifications in law, business, governance or related field (desirable).
• Experience in governance, compliance and/or policy development in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365; experience with governance/compliance systems (desirable).
• Highly organised, outcomes-focused and comfortable managing competing priorities.

Hours of Work
Full-time role based in Townsville. Some flexible hours may be required to meet organisational needs, including support around key events and game days.
