The Company

The Role

In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end financial and management reporting for a key business unit, while also supporting group-level statutory compliance including payroll tax, BAS and WorkCover. The position has a strong focus on cashflow forecasting, budgeting and financial governance, providing valuable insights to support decision-making and overall business performance.

Duties will include:

  • Take ownership of the P&L and Balance Sheet, ensuring accuracy, integrity and timeliness of all financial information.
  • Perform detailed balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and post month-end journals including prepayments, accruals and other adjustments. Support the month-end close process to ensure smooth and timely reporting cycles.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting, preparing variance analyses and commentary
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring all acquisitions disposals and depreciation calculations are recorded accurately.
  • Complete intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities, ensuring all transactions and balances are aligned
  • Preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly statutory payments (GST, payroll tax).
  • Assist with year-end and external audit processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting and scenario analysis.

The Candidate

You will have proven experience in end-to-end financial management, reporting and compliance across multi-entity environments.

  • CA/CPA Accounting Qualification
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with a focus on financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a meticulous approach to accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Capable of managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines and performing effectively under pressure.
  • Enthusiastic and collaborative, with a commitment to contributing to a high-performing team environment.
