The Opportunity 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our high-performing Finance team

The Financial Accountant will support the Finance team in delivering accurate daily financial reporting and month-end processes, with a strong focus on reconciliations and analysis. This role partners closely with various Support Office departments, providing valuable insights and maintaining compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accruals, prepayments, and monthly journals as required
• Analyse costs across the group and assist with monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting
• Oversee monthly BAS preparation and assist with FBT returns
• Manage the Fixed Asset register and liaise with internal teams to resolve system issues
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial results each period
• Support internal and external audit requirements with timely, accurate information
• Contribute to the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities
• Participate in projects such as system upgrades and UAT testing
• Drive process improvement initiatives and assist in developing enhanced financial report

About You 

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• CPA/CA Qualified 
• 2+ years' experience in a similar role 
• Intermediate excel skills
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Strong focus on process improvement
• Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
