We do not take our waterfront location for granted though.

Currently undergoing a transformation, Bayside Geelong Hotel & Apartments is due to open its new build rooms, restaurant and bar, conferencing, and guest facilities in October 2025.

When complete, Bayside Geelong will offer 110 guest rooms including a mix of 1 and 2 bedroom self-contained and studio apartments, Superior rooms, and an industry leading number of accessible rooms. The hotel will also include 2 restaurants and bars, multiple conference and event spaces, an indoor pool, sauna and fitness centre.

As we continue to grow, we seek a Full-Time Night Audit Manager to join our team.

The Role:

The Night Audit Manager supports hotel operations, focusing on front desk, guest services, and F&B coordination. Responsibilities include handling check-ins, check-outs, reservations, guest inquiries, and ensuring smooth communication across departments. The role aims to enhance guest satisfaction through excellent service and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Promote and provide prompt, efficient and courteous service to all guests at all times
  • Oversee and manage all hotel operations during night shifts, ensuring smooth and effective functioning across departments.

  • Complete nightly audit procedures, including end-of-day financial reports and reconciliations.

  • Interpret needs of clients to maximise their experience, whilst maximising RevPAR

  • Suggest and upsell the hotel food and beverage outlets as well as special events and promotions at time of reservation and check in

  • Act as the primary contact for emergency response protocols and risk mitigation related to guest/operational issues.
  • Accurately complete nightly reports and handovers, communicating key information to relevant departments and morning management teams.

Selection Criteria:

Essential:

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Hospitality

  • First aid certificate – Valid

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate – Valid

  • Current driver's license & Police Clearance - Valid

  • Minimum 2 years in hotel front office operations experience

  • Demonstrated Customer service excellence

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Excellent leadership, management and delegation skills

  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and project management skills.

  • Intermediate Microsoft 365 and Outlook

Desirable:

  • Chief Fire Warden Training

  • Understanding of budget management and finance
