As a key member of our Highways team, you'll apply your design knowledge and 12d modelling skills to shape sustainable, future-ready transport networks. This role is ideal for a driven engineer ready to lead by example and help develop the next generation of designers.

The Opportunity

• Lead and support road alignment design for major highways, urban and rural roads, and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and manage 3D models using advanced features of 12d Model to support design development and communication.
• Coordinate and review the work of junior engineers, providing mentorship and skill development opportunities.
• Ensure timely delivery of design outputs within agreed project budgets and timelines while maintaining high technical standards.
• Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement of Arup's systems, tools, and design excellence initiatives.

Is this role right for you?

• Strong technical knowledge of road design standards (e.g. Austroads, RMS, Transport for NSW) and practical experience applying them.
• High proficiency in 12d Model, including use of advanced design tools such as snippets, macros, trimeshes, and model attribution.
• Experience working on complex, multidisciplinary projects and coordinating design inputs across various teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
• A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline, and progress toward or completion of professional institution membership.
